Extraordinary wine taverns and excellent wine lists awarded

During the competition, two further extra competitions took place.

On the one hand, the best wine lists were awarded. The commission was also here positively surprised by the qualitiy and numbers of wine lists. Herbert Boller awarded three prizes: one to the wine tavern "Altdeutsche Weinstube" in Dörrenbach, one to the hotel restaurant "Pfälzer Hof" in Edenkoben for their lovely and informative design and their good choice of wines, and one to the castle "Schloss Edesheim" for its excellent and wide range of wines, which are very well described on the list.

On the other hand, Nicolai Schenk, member of the district, awarded the prize „extraordinary wine tavern“ to the wine tavern "Jülg" in Schweigen-Rechtenbach, to the restaurant wine tavern „Zur Alten Gerberei“ in Annweiler and to the country house Christmann „Gutsausschank Kabinett“ in St. Martin. Each of them was awarded for their extraordinary and cozy furnishings, their usage of local products and their menu, which is typical for the Palatinate but, nevertheless, special.
