While in other places the winter is still dominating, the spring awakens in our region. Thanks to its favourable position and mild Mediterranean climate, exotic fruit is growing here in the Southern Palatinate. You do not have to pinch yourself, this is not a dream. If you visit us in the Southern Wine Route in the middle of March, you will enjoy our pink landscape. Our famous almond flower is a natural phenomenon which you can only see in Mallorca as well. You will experience the fascination of almond flower for example at the Villa Ludwigshoehe or the Geilweilerhof. If you come in autumn or winter, you can taste what the Christmas backery has whipped up with the mature fruit.
