"Museum unterm Trifels" - museum with tanner's workshop

Local history from primitive times

In three idyllic timber-framed houses and an ancient water mill; history of the castle Trifels, development of the city of Annweiler, forest, crafts in the Middle ages. A mediaeval cottage shows how the stones were worked out for the castles and churches and how they were transported. The working processes of leather making can be seen in a tanner's workshop.

Opening hours/Remarks

15th of March to 31st of October Tue-Sun from 10 am - 5 pm,

10th November to 14th March Sat/Sun from 1 to 5 pm.


Guidances for groups also on other times by appointment.
Museum is located in the Old Town!
