Hiking
It is a special nature experience to discover the Palatine Forest on foot. In our Nature Park and Biosphere Reserve Palatinate Forest, one of the biggest connected forest landscapes in Europe, you can find more than just a hiking destination. Relax on lonely paths along small brooks. Calm down by your walk through the forest and vineyards. Have fun with friends on a big tour from castle to castle. Our path network is ideally built and you always have the possibility to try a delicious Vesper, a traditional light evening meal, and a glass of wine.

There are detailed information materials in the tourism office Landau and in every regional office. We recommend the hiking map 1:25000 of the federal state Rhineland Palatinate for the whole Nature Park Palatinate Forest and the surrounding regions to you.
Trekking in the Southern Wine Route
Trekking this means adventure, wilderness and isolation far from any semblance of civilisation. Now this is legally possible in the Palatinate.
