Cycle path German Wine Route

Schweigen - Neustadt a.d. Weinstraße (continuation possible to Bockenheim)
(Length: Schweigen - Neustadt: ca. 45 km, to Bockenheim: ca. 95 km)
The route begins in Schweigen (there is a connection to the cycle path Lautertal) and leads you first over Oberotterbach and to Bad Bergzabern (connection to the cycle path Petronella-Rhein). Drive through the city, pass the old town hall and the Guest house zum Engel and pedal to the castle. The route leads you over Pleisweiler-Oberhofen, Gleiszellen-Gleishorbach and Klingenmünster (here youll get across with the cycle path Klingbach). Drive further on the Wine Route over Eschbach, Leinsweiler, Ranschbach and Birkweiler to Siebeldingen. In Siebeldingen (where youll get across with the cycle path Queichtal) drive through a narrow alley to a bridge and over the river Queich. The cycle path German Wine Route leads you further through the vineyards, by Geilweilerhof and shortly along the road to Frankweiler. From Frankweiler drive further along a cycle path over Gleisweiler and Burrweiler to Rhodt or along an alternative route with a steep rise through Weyher to the cottage Rietania. From the cottage drive along the picturesque street Theresienstraße to Rhodt and further to the main route. In the access road of Rhodt the route leads you to Edenkoben and through the city along roads tranquilised from traffic. Then the cycle path German Wine Route leads you through the vineyards and to the upper oil mill on the access road of Maikammer. Here youll have a choice to continue along the main route that leads you to Alsterweiler along the outskirts of Maikammer, or to take the alternative route that leads you to Alsterweiler over St. Martin. From Maikammer the route leads you further over Diedesfeld and Hambach to Neustadt an der Weinstraße. It is possible to continue along the German Wine Route from here to Bockenheim.
