Queichtal cycle path

Hauenstein - Germersheim (Length: ca. 58 km)

The Queichtal route follows the river Queich from the well to the river Rhein. First you’ll drive through Hauenstein and over Wilgartswiesen to Rinnthal. There you’ll have to momentary use roads, before you can drive again on a cycle path over Sarnstall to Annweiler. There the Queichtal route leads you through the historical old town of Annweiler. You’ll pedal further along the old B 10 on a cycle path to Queichhambach, following a while the road to Albersweiler and then further along the cycle path to Siebeldingen (there you come across with the cycle path German Wine Route). Then the route follows Queich over Godramstein to Landau, through the city and to the adventure bath La Ola. After the bath begins a cycle bath that goes to Offenbach (here you’ll come across with the cycle path South-Palatinate). On the way over Neumühle to Ottersheim one may with luck see some storks. Turn right and drive along a path through the forest. There is a parting of the ways after 400 m, turn left to the forest trail. Drive further straight on to the crossing of the concrete roads (fence) and cross the both small bridges. After the second bridge turn right and drive along the brook to the mill (Knittelsheimer Mühle). From the mill drive east ca. 1200 m to direction Bellheim, cross the road Bellheim/Zeiskam and drive on the northern outskirts of Bellheim to a playing ground (Schützenhaus). Turn left and ca. 800 m to north to the forest line. There turn right and after 400 m left to direction north. After the next 500 m turn right. Drive this way ca. 1,7 km to mill, right after the mill cross the road and drive along the forest line shortly to South and then left to the river Rhein and then further on the cycle path on the Rheinaue wetlands to the mouth of the river Queich, which is under the bridge above Rhein B 35.
